Camp Rosenbaum - Customer Case Study

Camp Rosenbaum Fund is a nonprofit that provides mentoring, camp and athletic programs for low-income youth. The organization’s flagship Taste of Camp fundraiser was disrupted by COVID—moving virtual in 2020, experimenting with a game-show format in 2021, and ultimately needing a hybrid solution in 2022 to satisfy corporate sponsors, re-engage donors, and cope with fewer donated auction items and higher event costs.

For 2022 they hosted about 120 in-person guests and 51 virtual households, added Greater Giving’s online bidding and on-site event services, and ran interactive elements like Wine Bingo, cornhole, golden-ticket sales, specialty drinks and a dessert dash; consignment packages were offered to online bidders to bolster the live auction. The hybrid event improved engagement across audiences, streamlined registration and checkout, generated roughly two-thirds of typical pre-pandemic in-person revenue, and set the Fund up to expand future events using the same tools.
