A Gravyty Case Study
Westminster School, a coeducational Christian independent day school in Atlanta, wanted to strengthen diversity, equity, and inclusion in admissions by attracting a more diverse applicant pool and better reaching underrepresented families, especially Black/African American and Latino/x/e students. The school needed a better way to analyze its applicant population, identify gaps versus local demographics, and improve how it communicated with prospective families.
Working with Gravyty and its PeerPal platform, Westminster built a diversity outreach ambassador program that helped it select representative parent ambassadors, support them with guidance, and let applicants browse profiles and schedule conversations with the ambassadors they related to most. The result was stronger outreach and a measurable increase in yield: Westminster doubled the number of new Black/African American and Latino/x/e students in years one and two, while also attracting more applications from underrepresented groups.
