Al and Donor Discovery NYU's Experiences Using Gravyty

New York University (NYU) needed a faster, more effective way to identify, qualify, and reengage donors across its large alumni base, especially the 70% of alumni not already managed by the advancement team. The university wanted to improve donor touchpoints, prioritize the best prospects, and place them more accurately in the giving pipeline. Gravyty’s AI-driven donor discovery solution was used to help address these challenges.

Using Gravyty, NYU segmented prospects by capacity and affinity, generated personalized outreach, and supported requalification and reengagement across fundraising channels. The results included $313,000 raised in the first three months from donors who otherwise would not have been personally engaged, more than $840,000 raised within a year, and $403,000 secured on Giving Day across 82 gifts, with double the gifts secured by gift officers and double the revenue raised. Gravyty also helped turn a donor disqualification into renewed support for NYU’s LGBTQ group.
