Chivas Brothers transforms Kilmalid’s 4-floor workplace with Graven

Chivas Brothers, part of Pernod Ricard, faced the challenge of improving the arrival experience and workplace environment at their Kilmalid bottling site in Dumbarton. Their key objectives were to create a more positive and equal experience for both production and office employees, unite teams through social spaces, showcase their core brands, and improve staff wellness facilities. They enlisted the vendor Graven to act as project architect, interior designer, and environmental branding specialist to address these needs.

Graven designed a new double-height glazed entrance pavilion that serves as a welcoming beacon and provides a common starting point for all staff. The solution included a central staircase connecting to a new café bar, vastly improved changing facilities, upgraded office floors with a variety of collaborative work settings, and extensive environmental graphics celebrating the production site. The new spaces successfully encourage interaction between teams, provide high-quality areas for socializing, and prominently showcase Pernod Ricard's brands and live production feeds, creating an attractive environment designed to increase morale and help attract and retain talent.
