Canal+, a major media company, needed to significantly increase its output of sports programming without expanding its physical studio footprint. To address this challenge, the company partnered with vendor Grass Valley to implement its Agile Media Production Platform (AMPP), seeking a more elastic and adaptable workflow solution.
Grass Valley's on-premises AMPP deployment enabled the creation of new, efficient software-based production galleries. This solution allowed Canal+ to run up to eight simpler productions simultaneously in a multifeed gallery and handle more sophisticated broadcasts in branding galleries. As a result, a single team can now produce five events at the same time, improving both the quality of the programs and simplifying the operational experience. Canal+ also values the adaptability of the Grass Valley platform for future workflow expansion.
