YIT delivers Tripla’s €1 billion mixed-use project with Graphisoft

The construction company YIT faced the challenge of coordinating the massive, sustainable Tripla mixed-use development in Helsinki, requiring seamless collaboration between hundreds of stakeholders across numerous design disciplines. Graphisoft's Archicad software, used by the lead architects Soini & Horto, was employed within an OPEN BIM workflow mandated by the client to manage the project's scale and complexity while adhering to strict Common BIM requirements.

Graphisoft's solution enabled the project team to divide the large design into manageable Archicad Teamwork files and reliably exchange IFC data with all other consultants. This model-based approach minimized communication errors, allowed early conflict detection, and integrated seamlessly with the client's tools like Solibri Model Checker. The result was effective coordination for the €1 billion project, facilitating sustainable urban expansion and on-schedule development through streamlined digital collaboration among over 300 individuals.
