Woods Bagot, a 350+ person global architectural firm, needed to move beyond traditional 2D workflows to deliver complex, large-scale projects like the 78,000+ m2 Southern Cross Development while improving design clarity, producing high-quality visualizations and meeting very tight deadlines. To achieve this they selected Graphisoft’s ArchiCAD as their core 3D CAD/Virtual Building platform.

By using Graphisoft’s ArchiCAD together with Woods Bagot’s custom API tools (notably the Tessera add‑on) and support from Graphisoft and reseller arkiTech, the firm integrated design, documentation and presentation into a single Virtual Building model, automated furniture placement and produced photorealistic renderings. The approach cut overhead dramatically (labeling reduced from 40 to 8 person‑hours; scheduling examples from 240 to 60 person‑hours), improved design definition and marketing output, and enabled Woods Bagot to meet challenging deadlines.
