Valladares Pagliotti & Asociados (VPA) is a Chilean structural engineering firm (20 staff, 800+ projects) that needed to streamline structural design, improve coordination with architects and non‑BIM specialists, automate planimetry, and integrate structural analysis for complex, seismic‑sensitive buildings. To meet these challenges VPA adopted Graphisoft’s ARCHICAD platform (along with Graphisoft tools like Teamwork and BIMx) as the backbone of their BIM workflow.

VPA configured ARCHICAD to automatically generate structural planimetry, used Teamwork for real‑time collaboration, and BIMx for lightweight on‑site model access, while linking results from SAP/ETABS via custom interfaces. With Graphisoft solutions they uncovered more than 300 specialty conflicts on a major university project, eliminated roughly 300 extra tasks/adjustments, reduced rework and unexpected contractor charges, and greatly improved multidisciplinary coordination and constructability.
