SARCO Architects Costa Rica - Customer Case Study

SARCO Architects Costa Rica needed a comprehensive BIM workflow to deliver the complex, high-end Casa Magayon residence from concept through construction—managing modular design, MEP coordination, fully consistent documentation and on-site client communication while minimizing errors and energy use. To achieve this, SARCO adopted Graphisoft solutions, principally ARCHICAD and the BIMx hyper-modeling app.

Using Graphisoft ARCHICAD (with the MEP modeler, Teamwork and BIMx) SARCO modeled the entire project in 3D, generated all 2D documentation directly from the live model, automated quantification and supplier schedules, and used BIMx for client and site coordination. The result was faster, more accurate delivery with significant construction cost savings and reduced errors, improved client communication on site, and industry recognition — Casa Magayon won the Central & South America Property Award / Best Architecture Single Residence Costa Rica (2016–2017).
