Reimagine designs 1,150+ sq. meter equine center with Graphisoft

Reimagine, an award-winning architectural firm in Canada, sought to design the complex Frog Lake Equine Center, a therapeutic facility integrated into a sloped terrain. Their challenge was to create a structure that emerged from the land, featuring a uniquely complex roof system, while adhering to sustainable design principles and collaborating closely with their First Nations client. They used Graphisoft's Archicad as their primary BIM solution to navigate these design and technical challenges.

Using Graphisoft's Archicad and its integrated tools like the Morph tool and Twinmotion, Reimagine was able to model the building's form directly from survey data, experiment with structural solutions, and visualize environmental factors like sunlight and shading. The solution enabled effective collaboration with engineers and clients. The resulting project received the 2023 Canadian Architect Award of Excellence, recognizing design-stage excellence, and successfully realized a beautiful, sustainable center that meets the client's vision.
