LINK Arkitektur was appointed to manage the complex rebuilding and expansion of Södersjukhuset in Stockholm — a 70,000 m2, 3,000-room healthcare project with a budget of 3.4 billion SEK and strict sustainability and performance requirements (Miljöbyggnad Silver). To meet client demands for simulations, model-based coordination, IFC handover and clear stakeholder communication, LINK used Graphisoft’s ARCHICAD as their main BIM authoring platform and Graphisoft’s BIMx to give non‑technical users easy access to the design.

LINK implemented a structured ARCHICAD Teamwork workflow, used an ARCHICAD add-on to synchronize data with the BIMeye database, and coordinated models through Solibri and regular clash‑detection reviews. The Graphisoft-based approach improved information management, caught many design conflicts before construction (saving time and money), supported certification and simplified facility‑management handover — proving ARCHICAD and related Graphisoft tools effective for large‑scale hospital delivery.
