Holstein White streamlines coordination on 66-unit Hoffman Pavilion with Graphisoft

MEP engineering firm Holstein White faced challenges in coordinating complex building systems with architects, relying on slow, error-prone processes using PDFs and 2D CAD overlays. Their goal was to improve collaboration and streamline their mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection design workflow. To achieve this, they partnered with vendor Graphisoft and transitioned their entire practice to use the Archicad BIM platform.

Working with Graphisoft, Holstein White implemented a comprehensive Archicad solution, including developing internal standards, templates, and specialized training with support from Graphisoft North America seminars. This enabled seamless, real-time co-authoring and coordination with architects within shared 3D models. The results were dramatically reduced coordination time, fewer errors, and streamlined processes, as evidenced on projects like Brook St. Lofts and Hoffman Pavilion where live collaboration cut down on rework and sped up design.
