Enzyme apd, a Hong Kong–based architectural studio, was asked to design Villa Patio, a compact residence in Bandung, Java, and to show how BIM can be used from the very start of a project. Their challenge was to run an efficient concept-phase workflow that delivered accurate documentation, visualizations and coordination on a tight schedule while proving the advantages of BIM over traditional 2D/3D methods. Enzyme apd chose ARCHICAD from Graphisoft (using Teamwork) as their BIM platform.

Using Graphisoft’s ARCHICAD and its Teamwork collaboration, the three-person team developed the BIM model, produced all 2D drawings, diagrams and CGI, and compiled the client brochure within a three-week concept schedule. The Graphisoft-based workflow enabled real‑time collaboration in a single file, faster export of accurate documentation (1:100 drawings and deliverables), reduced coordination errors, and better use of time and resources — culminating in a complete .PLN submission and a successful demonstration of BIM from concept onward.
