Bamble Junior High School builds a 14,633㎡ sustainable school with Graphisoft

Bamble Junior High School, a secondary school in Stathelle, Norway, worked with architecture firm Spinn Arkitekter. The challenge was to design a sustainable, all-wood school building that provided a multifunctional environment for learning and life, all while maintaining a competitive budget and efficient processes.

The vendor Graphisoft provided its Archicad BIM software as the core solution. This allowed Spinn Arkitekter to create digital models from the outset, enabling precise area and cost control, collaborative teamwork across offices, and the efficient translation of complex design patterns like the facade into production. The result was the successful 2021 completion of the 14,633 ㎡ Bamble Junior High, an innovative and sustainably built school delivered at a competitive price.
