Preview of the European Space Agency (ESA) Case Study

Hume maps a segment of the space and satellite ecosystem for the European Space Agency

The European Space Agency (ESA) was challenged to track the highly dynamic satellite technology market by mapping its ecosystem into a knowledge graph. The volume of constantly increasing data, both structured and unstructured, required a massive and unsustainable amount of human effort for ingestion and mapping. ESA engaged with GraphAware to explore the Natural Language Processing (NLP) capabilities of their Hume platform to automate this process.

GraphAware implemented its Hume platform to provide an end-to-end automated solution. This included configuring Hume Orchestra to ingest and process diverse data types, using Hume Labs to train custom machine learning models with ESA's domain experts, and visualizing the results with Hume Knowledge Graphs. The solution drastically reduced human intervention, successfully mapping a segment of the space ecosystem and delivering unexpected business value through actionable visual insights. ESA was delighted with the results and is now preparing to expand the usage of GraphAware's solution throughout the organization.
