AgriTech, a Virginia-based agricultural tech company, needed a better way to help farmers remotely monitor crops and farm conditions, reduce manual oversight, and improve decision-making. Using Grafana as part of its IoT monitoring solution, AgriTech set out to turn sensor, drone, and weather-station data into actionable insights for industrial hemp growers.

With Grafana dashboards, alerts, and real-time visualizations connected to local and cloud data sources, AgriTech helped Pure Shenandoah scale from a 15-acre pilot to more than 500 acres in 2021, producing about 750,000 pounds of fiber, with plans to exceed 800 acres across 20+ partner farms. Grafana enabled automation, faster issue detection, and energy optimization, helping the team save time, reduce labor and utility costs, and improve crop health and yields while supporting carbon-credit verification.
