Pernod Ricard, the global wine and spirits company behind brands like Jameson and Absolut Vodka, was rapidly expanding its direct-to-consumer e-commerce business and needed a scalable way to support more than 80 affiliates worldwide. As demand surged, the company wanted a consumer-centric platform that could be deployed quickly, monitored 24/7, and debugged self-service by developers across different regions and teams.
Using Grafana, Pernod Ricard implemented an e-commerce “Factory” built on Magento, AWS, ECS, CloudWatch, Container Insights, and Loki, with all observability data centralized in Grafana. The solution helped the team standardize monitoring and logging across environments, send CloudFront logs to Loki in real time, and give developers easy access to application logs for faster troubleshooting. As a result, Pernod Ricard improved scalability, harmonized metrics across the business, and enabled faster deployment of new sites—more than 30 to date.
