How Exabeam gained insight and control over 20 million active time series with Grafana Cloud

Exabeam, a cybersecurity leader, needed to replace a strained on-premises observability stack that was struggling with 500,000 time series and quickly growing as new cloud-native apps were added. As the company moved from an on-prem environment to the cloud, it needed a single platform that could handle complex monitoring across more than 100 microservices, older systems, and new cloud services. With help from Grafana, Exabeam migrated its legacy monitoring to Grafana Cloud, tuned limits and quotas, and improved cardinality management while keeping local environments running during the transition. The result was a fully managed observability stack with more than 20 million active time series, hundreds of dashboards, and better transparency into usage and costs. Grafana also helped Exabeam optimize spend, dramatically reducing observability costs while improving troubleshooting speed, developer experience, and overall operational visibility.
