XXIII World Traditional Karate-Do Championship 2022 streamlines event planning for 1,500 participants with Graebert

The World Traditional Karate-Do Federation (WTKF) faced the challenge of organizing the XXIII World Traditional Championship 2022 for over 1500 participants. Their key hurdles were collaboratively designing winner medals with a board of 10 members across 7 different countries and creating a dynamic, reconfigurable space plan for three simultaneous tournaments. They partnered with vendor Graebert to address these challenges using its CAD expertise.

Graebert implemented its ARES Trinity CAD software suite, including ARES Commander, ARES Touch, and ARES Kudo. This solution enabled real-time cloud-based collaboration, allowing stakeholders to view and comment on 3D medal designs directly in their browsers without installation. For the space planning, dynamic blocks and associative patterns were used to efficiently model and evaluate numerous tatami mat configurations. Graebert's tools facilitated a transparent and inclusive design process, achieving consensus in record time and ensuring the event's spatial logistics were optimized for the parallel tournaments.
