Veolia optimises and future-proofs its district heating systems with Gradyent

Veolia in Poland, one of the country's largest district heating operators, faced the challenge of optimizing its complex systems for a decarbonized future. To achieve climate neutrality and manage lower network temperatures with more distributed sources, the company needed an integrated digital solution to optimize its entire district heating network from end to end. They partnered with Gradyent to address this.

Gradyent implemented its Digital Twin platform to create a real-time digital copy of Veolia’s physical heating systems. The solution optimizes network management for dispatchers by using weather forecasts and electricity pricing, beginning in Łódź and expanding to Poznań. This partnership with Gradyent is helping Veolia future-proof its operations, working towards reduced CO2 emissions, lower operating costs, and smarter business decisions.
