Mantova SEI uses Digital Twin to save 550+ tons of CO2 yearly

Mantova SEI, a district heating operator, had a strong ambition to decarbonize its system and reduce its total gas usage. To achieve this, the company needed to improve the energy efficiency of its operations and gain better data visibility to inform investments. They chose to partner with Gradyent to address this challenge by leveraging a Digital Twin.

Gradyent built and implemented a real-time Digital Twin of the entire district heating network, combining various data sources with physics-based models and AI. This solution provided SEI with accurate insights for optimization. As a result, SEI reduced its heat losses and achieved a reduction of more than 550 tons of CO2 emissions per year. The partnership with Gradyent has led to the development of a multi-year roadmap for further digitalization.
