Turner Sports Amplifies Real-time Video Highlights and Sponsor Activation With Grabyo

Turner Sports teamed up with Grabyo ahead of the 2017/18 NBA season to increase the volume and speed of real-time video highlights shared across its social channels and to open up new revenue opportunities through sponsored content. The team needed a faster way to clip, edit, and publish NBA moments for @NBATV and @NBAonTNT, while also making content more attractive to brand partners.

Using Grabyo’s live clipping and browser-based editing tools, Turner Sports rapidly produced square and vertical highlights for Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Periscope, and added sponsor branding and post-roll elements for partners including Cisco, EA Sports, Gatorade, Mountain Dew, Jordan, Boost Mobile, and Verizon go90. During the NBA Playoffs alone, more than 2,000 clips were published, helping Turner increase distribution, engagement, and views, while also enabling branded livestreams and sponsor activations during the 2018 NBA All-Star weekend.
