LaLiga, the Spanish football league, wanted a way to bring live match action to social audiences while maximizing its available broadcast rights. Working with Grabyo, it looked to stream selected games and share match-related content across Facebook and other social platforms.
Using Grabyo’s live streaming and social video tools, LaLiga broadcast TV-quality Copa del Rey semi-final matches to Facebook in available territories and distributed archived and real-time highlights to build anticipation for major fixtures. The results were strong, with the live broadcasts generating over six million Facebook views and LaLiga also reaching hundreds of millions of social views overall.
