K League 1 Delivers Season Opener Live to Social Media Using Grabyo

K League, the top-tier Korean football league, needed a safe way to resume its season opener during COVID-19 restrictions and deliver the match to a global audience. Working with Grabyo and its cloud video platform, K League set out to produce a live remote broadcast for social media without relying on a traditional on-site production setup.

Grabyo provided K League with Grabyo Producer, enabling the digital team to collaborate remotely and stream the Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors vs. Suwon Samsung Bluewings match live to YouTube and Twitter using only a laptop and internet connection. The solution supported remote commentary from Australia, kept production safe and flexible, and helped K League become the first major football league to resume action and broadcast its opener worldwide.
