EA Sports delivers FIFA 20 #StayandPlay Cup to TV and digital using Grabyo

EA Sports needed a fast, remote way to produce the FIFA 20 #StayandPlay Cup during the COVID-19 pandemic, when no live sport was taking place. Working with Grabyo and its cloud video platform, EA set out to create a high-quality eSports broadcast that could connect players, presenters, and fans across the world while supporting charity fundraising.

Using Grabyo’s cloud-native production and live-streaming tools, EA Sports produced the entire 20-team tournament remotely in under 10 days, with Grabyo Producer enabling live gameplay switching, remote guests, and player video contributions. The event streamed in 1080p at 60fps to Twitch, YouTube, and ESPN 2, supported 15 concurrent live streams and 45 users on EA’s server, and included daily highlights and round-ups.
