Southern Wine and Spirits - Customer Case Study

Southern Wine and Spirits operates a 2,200-vehicle fleet serving 187,000 customers across 35 states and faced daily challenges of planning new routes, stops and schedules while controlling costs, vehicle maintenance, driver behavior and delivery timing. To address this, Southern Wine and Spirits partnered with GPS to Go to deploy Geotab Fleet Tracking and integrate telematics data with their routing software.

GPS to Go’s Geotab implementation gave Southern Wine and Spirits real‑time location feedback that improved route timing, produced a significant reduction in idling (driving fuel and cost savings), and lowered speeding and harsh‑driving events, improving safety and product protection. The solution also enabled seatbelt monitoring, better driver accountability for disputes or collisions, and ongoing fuel‑use analysis — delivering measurable productivity and cost benefits across their 2,200‑vehicle fleet.
