D.M. Bowman Inc., a transportation, warehousing and logistics company operating about 325 vehicles, needed better fleet management, driver safety and cost control after its insurer encouraged a usage-based program. To meet those needs, D.M. Bowman partnered with GPS to Go to deploy Geotab fleet-tracking telematics across its fleet.

GPS to Go implemented Geotab units (installed on 300 vehicles so far) delivering real-time reporting, seatbelt compliance monitoring and speed-vs.-posted-limit alerts; the solution made vehicle location and crash investigation easier, supported higher driving standards, and produced a measurable 20% reduction in accident costs. D.M. Bowman plans to expand the Geotab rollout to the remaining vehicles and leverage the platform for routing, maintenance and further efficiency improvements.
