South Orange Village, NJ — led by Deputy Administrator Adam Loehner — faced the challenge of modernizing municipal services into a single, easy-to-use portal and virtual desktop environment that would centralize departments, public records, permits, forms, meeting minutes and videos. To execute this ambitious technology strategy while keeping integration and employee usability in mind, the village partnered with GovPilot and adopted GovPilot’s municipal software platform as a core component of its Virtual Village Hall vision.

GovPilot implemented integrated software applications and supported South Orange Village’s rollout of the Virtual Village Hall and virtual desktop infrastructure, enabling unified access to services and records. As a result, GovPilot’s solution increased transparency and resident engagement, made permits and documents easier to find and interact with, and positioned the village to offer shared-service capabilities to other municipalities.
