The Town of Morristown, New Jersey, faced challenges in its Code Enforcement Department due to paper-based fieldwork, which made it difficult to track inspections, violations, and employee activity. This slowed productivity, reduced accountability, limited resource allocation, and contributed to more resident complaints and lower department revenue. GovPilot provided the cloud-based government management platform used to help address these issues.
GovPilot helped the Town of Morristown deploy digital public complaint forms, automated workflows, and a customizable Code Enforcement module that allowed officers to collect, route, track, and report cases in real time from web-enabled devices. With better reporting and visibility at the case, employee, and department levels, Morristown improved productivity, transparency, and accountability, while officers completed more inspections and inbound public complaints decreased significantly year over year.
