Lodi, NJ - Customer Case Study

Lodi, NJ faced an inefficient, paper-based Certificate of Continued Occupancy (CCO) process that relied on mailed or dropped-off forms and Excel spreadsheets, causing misplaced records and service delays. To modernize permitting and inspections, the city turned to GovPilot and its cloud-based platform, deploying the GovPilot CCO module alongside other municipal modules.

GovPilot replaced paper with online CCO applications, automated status emails, tablet-based real-time inspections, and email-issued approvals, enabling employees to manage the entire workflow digitally. The change eliminated archives and reduced processing time by about three hours per day (≈60 hours per month), sped record searches to seconds, and ensured uninterrupted public service during COVID while staff worked remotely.
