A GovPilot Case Study
The Borough of Sea Girt, NJ faced an inefficient, paper-based code enforcement system: residents had to call or visit city hall to report issues, inspections were recorded in notebooks, notices were typed and mailed, documents were sometimes misplaced, and staff spent about 15% of their day chasing information and status updates. To modernize operations, the Borough turned to GovPilot and deployed GovPilot’s Code Enforcement module.
GovPilot implemented its Code Enforcement module with a digital Report a Concern form on Sea Girt’s website, the GovAlert mobile app, and custom automated workflows to streamline inspection scheduling, data retrieval, and status communications. As a result, GovPilot helped the Borough cut tracking time in half (2x efficiency), reduce time spent communicating with requestors and other departments by 66% (from 15% to 5%), lower phone time by 65% (from 10 minutes to 3.5 minutes), and significantly reduce status inquiry calls.
