A GovOS Case Study
The Village of Schaumburg, led by Business Process Analyst Daniel Wyskochil, faced cumbersome, paper-based workflows and duplicated processes that frustrated residents and staff—examples included photocopied forms, disjointed inspections, and a redundant business license application. Wyskochil’s challenge was to bring private‑sector digital thinking into local government to simplify workflows, reduce paper, and improve the customer experience.
Schaumburg piloted SeamlessGov with a "crawl, walk, run" rollout, starting in HR and expanding as departments adopted the platform. By digitizing forms, using if‑then logic and pre‑filled PDF wizards, the Village consolidated disparate steps (like inspection scheduling and certificate issuance) into single online processes, empowered departments to build 50+ workflows, cut redundancy, reduced paper handling, and greatly improved resident and staff satisfaction.
