A GovOS Case Study
The City of Spencer, led by Deputy City Manager/Finance Director Brian Weuve, needed to modernize paper-heavy, time-consuming municipal processes and make services available to residents outside traditional business hours. Paper packets, daily faxes, and limited online access were creating inefficiencies and barriers to convenient citizen interaction.
Spencer implemented SeamlessGov to move council packets, internal forms and workflows, and citizen-facing services online, then added payment integration for things like aquatic center registration. The result was a smaller paper footprint, legally compliant digital workflows that eliminated daily faxes, easier tracking and submission, growing community adoption, and a repeatable “start small” approach for expanding digital services.
