Salida, CO Launches Short-Term Rental Business Licensing Platform Powered by GovOS

GovOS, a leading digital transformation platform for local governments, partnered with the City of Salida, CO to address rising short-term rental (STR) activity and the administrative burden of manual licensing and tax collection. Salida needed a way to streamline owner registration, documentation, payments and renewals while improving compliance and communication with property owners.

GovOS implemented an online STR platform that enables license applications/renewals, document uploads, secure credit-card tax payments, and automated renewal reminders. The system has collected more than $65,000 in taxes, cut staff time on STR work from about 25 to 5 hours per week, reduced paperwork and operating costs, and is part of a solution now used by 100+ jurisdictions.
