How Tippecanoe County, IN Employs Digital Services to Increase Public Accessibility

Tippecanoe County, Indiana (pop. ~200,000) faced slow, paper-heavy workflows that burdened residents and staff with printing, wet signatures, in-person delivery and heavy manual data entry. Seeking greater public accessibility and smarter resource use, the county began digitizing forms in 2017 and adopted GovOS Studio (Application Studio) to modernize citizen-facing and internal processes.

By moving forms online (examples include an electronic notice opt-in and an internal correction form) and automating much of the data entry, the county sustained uninterrupted services during COVID-19, eliminated long in-person lines, and cut printing and mailing costs. The changes delivered significant time savings for residents and staff — roughly 75% of form data is now captured on submission — more than 300 electronic opt-ins to date, and ongoing plans to integrate form data with GIS mapping for further improvements.
