Newark, NJ, led by CIO Seth Wainer, faced the common local-government challenge of modernizing citizen services and making paper-based forms and feedback legible, actionable and mobile-friendly. The city needed a way to automate its forms process and surface resident concerns to leadership without overburdening staff.
Newark partnered with SeamlessDocs (SeamlessGov) to digitize forms and rebuild the city website, enabling automated collection and analysis of citizen responses. The project streamlined workflows, delivered clear insights to the Mayor for faster, data-driven decisions, reduced manual review of hundreds of questions, and earned recognition with the Service is Beautiful award.
