A GovOS Case Study
The City of Grand Forks’ IT team, led by IT Systems Specialist Karen Salwey, needed to modernize slow, paper-based processes and improve information flow between citizens and departments. Long transfer times, manual interoffice routing and the demand for better data collection prompted the city to look for an easy-to-build, digital forms solution that departments would adopt.
The city implemented SeamlessGov to convert high-impact forms to online workflows—examples include a Drive-Off reporting form and an Online Crime Reporting form. The new forms streamlined responses and tracking (371 Drive-Off entries to date, surpassing prior years’ totals; 41 online crime reports in about seven months), saved an estimated 20 minutes per non-emergency call, and proved easy to create and iterate with conditional logic, becoming an essential tool for ongoing digitization.
