Golden, CO’s Fire Marshal office, led by Deputy Fire Marshal Kate Quintana, was burdened by paper-heavy plan reviews and manual processes that forced contractors and citizens to submit documents in person, created storage problems, and produced inefficient back-and-forth email communication. Converting routine tasks—like ride-along applications and permit reviews—was a priority to improve service and reduce staff workload.

The department implemented SeamlessGov’s tools (SeamlessDocs, SeamlessPay and the GRM) to digitize plan review, enable digital signatures and auto-calculation, automate routing and approvals, and consolidate conversations in one place. The change streamlined workflows, sped up turnarounds, cut in-person visits and paper storage, and delivered a simpler, more transparent experience for residents and staff—earning recognition as a Service is Beautiful winner.
