Indian Motorcycle, America’s first motorcycle brand with a manufacturing plant in Gilroy, needed a simple remote-access solution so database administrator Steve Rin could both telecommute and support workers on the manufacturing floor. Though the company had a Remote Access Server (RAS), Rin chose GoToMyPC to provide fast, easy remote access and remote-assistance capabilities.
GoToMyPC was deployed to enable secure remote desktop access, file transfers and one‑click guest invitations so floor workers can view Rin’s screen without installing software. As a result, GoToMyPC sped resolution of manufacturing-floor issues, increased employee productivity, removed the RAS two-hour timeout limitation, and expanded practical telecommuting options for Indian Motorcycle.
