How ODR Skis Transformed Customer Engagement with UGC Videos

ODR Skis, a U.S.-based ski company, wanted to better educate shoppers about its two premium skis, the Eclipse and R43, while also making sense of a large volume of user-generated content. With high drop-off rates, limited customer insights, and difficulty differentiating two similar products, the company needed a more effective way to engage visitors and understand shopper intent. ODR Skis worked with SWIRL on a video commerce and UGC solution.

SWIRL, together with Vyrill, implemented an interactive video shopping experience that indexed and analyzed UGC across multiple dimensions, added filters for location, demographics, and skill level, enabled search, and included buy-now and add-to-cart actions. The experience also featured a “Find Your Fit” sizing tool and AI sentiment analysis to surface relevant content and insights. As a result, ODR Skis saw a 131% increase in site engagement time and a 68-second increase in session time.
