The University of North Texas completes $1.8 million renovation with Gordian

The University of North Texas (UNT) faced a tight schedule, a limited budget and concerns about unforeseen conditions for the major renovation of its Child Development Lab. To meet this challenge, UNT employed Job Order Contracting (JOC), a solution provided by Gordian, to streamline the construction process.

By using Gordian's Job Order Contracting solution, the university collaborated with contractor LMC Corporation to complete the $1.8 million project on time for the spring semester. This successful outcome was achieved through value engineering and an innovative application of JOC, which led to both UNT and LMC receiving the 2016 Harry H. Mellon Award of Excellence in Job Order Contracting.
