Tarrant County College Opens New Location with Job Order Contracting

Tarrant County College, working through its TCC Connect campus, needed to turn a vacant retail building into a physical campus location to meet accreditation requirements and be ready for fall classes. The renovation had to move quickly, but the initial traditional bid came in over budget, creating a tight schedule and budget challenge.

Gordian provided Job Order Contracting (JOC), helping Tarrant County College use fixed line-item pricing, vetted contractors, and a faster procurement process. Gordian’s approach enabled work to start quickly with Chambers Engineering and helped deliver the renovated campus in a single summer, including major interior and exterior improvements, so TCC Connect could open on time with a new home for students, faculty, and administrators.
