Riverside Elementary School, part of Brainerd Public Schools in Minnesota, faced an urgent space shortage after a sudden influx of students left the school using an abandoned shower room for classes. To quickly expand before the new school year, the district turned to Gordian’s ezIQC procurement solution through the National Joint Powers Alliance®.

Using Gordian’s ezIQC process, the 13,000-square-foot addition was fast-tracked and completed by August for a $2 million budget. The project delivered seven new classrooms, new student bathrooms, and a teacher’s lounge with attached bathroom, while staying on time and within budget; 93% of subcontractors and suppliers were within 20 miles of the site.
