Louisiana Airport Chills Out with Job Order Contracting (JOC)

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport needed to repair a critical chiller to keep passengers and staff comfortable, but its public procurement process for projects over $20,000 could take four to six months. To speed up the repair, the airport turned to Gordian and its Job Order Contracting (JOC) service.

Using Gordian’s JOC, the airport had a contractor on-site in about two weeks from when the project was first identified. The contractor completed a week of work replacing worn belts, refilling old Freon, and performing routine maintenance, helping prevent chiller failure and avoiding the delays of traditional procurement.
