Jackson Health System partnered with Gordian to support the Jackson South Community Hospital trauma center initiative in Miami-Dade County. The challenge was to add a helipad and related infrastructure for a future Level II Trauma Center while keeping the hospital’s busy 24/7 ER fully operational and meeting compressed procurement timelines, SBE subcontracting goals, and multiple agency requirements.

Using Gordian’s Job Order Contracting solution, Jackson Health System identified a qualified contractor and streamlined delivery of the helipad landing area, elevator and stairwell, bridgeway, safety net, FAA-approved lighting, fire protection, emergency communications, HVAC, and other critical systems. Gordian helped the project finish in about 6 months, on time and on budget, enabling Jackson South to become a full-service trauma center with direct access to Ryder Trauma Center resources.
