Jackson Health System - Customer Case Study

Jackson Health System faced the challenge of renovating its medical offices with an extremely tight schedule to minimize disruption to patients and staff on the surrounding floors. Traditional procurement methods were deemed too slow to meet the deadline and to handle the logistical complexities of working in an active hospital. To address this, they turned to their vendor, Gordian, and utilized its Job Order Contracting solution.

By implementing Gordian's Job Order Contracting, a flexible, indefinite quantity procurement process, the health system was able to quickly engage a trusted contractor and begin work. This approach enabled rapid turnaround and significant cost control, allowing Jackson Health System to capitalize on end-of-fiscal-year funding. The project was completed successfully, and the results were so effective that both Jackson Health System and its contractor were honored with a 2016 Harry H. Mellon Award of Merit for their achievement.
