A Gordian Case Study
The Georgia Department of Labor worked with vendor Gordian to renovate the first floor of its administration facility into a modern boardroom with teleconference capabilities, an IT support room, and two personnel training rooms. The project had to address occupied-space constraints, technology updates, and design discrepancies while minimizing disruption to a 24/7 operational building, using Gordian’s ezIQC® procurement process.
Gordian and contractor Centennial Contractors Enterprises delivered the renovation with work scheduled around staff hours, including nights and weekends for disruptive activities, and coordinated with multiple subcontractors. Gordian’s approach helped resolve mechanical discrepancies and reduce costs through value engineering, and the project was completed on time at a cost of $641,981, with staff training provided on the new audio-video teleconferencing system.
