CTA Integrates Cost Data into Internal Software

CTA, a national A/E firm, needed reliable and detailed construction cost data to support value engineering and show clients the real cost impact of design choices. To address this challenge, CTA used Gordian’s RSMeans data within its internal estimating software.

With Gordian’s RSMeans data, CTA was able to produce highly detailed estimates with itemized material, labor, equipment, and productivity costs. The results were strong: CTA’s estimates typically came within 3% to 8% of contractor estimates during Design-Build projects, and the added detail improved value engineering throughout the design process.
