A Gordian Case Study
The City of Lubbock, Texas, a large city government serving about 253,000 residents across 380 facilities, faced a challenge common to its relatively isolated location: limited competition among construction contractors. With many buildings aging and a construction boom in the mid-2000s leaving projects unfinished, the city needed a better way to get repairs and renovations completed. Gordian’s ezIQC solution helped provide that alternative procurement path.
Using Gordian’s ezIQC, the City of Lubbock was able to work with local contractors, keep pricing preset and auditable, and speed up construction timelines. Gordian’s approach has helped the city manage quality and taxpayer dollars more effectively, with partnerships lasting years. To date, the City of Lubbock has completed 725 ezIQC projects totaling $14 million.
