A Gordian Case Study

City of Atlanta completes 50+ projects totaling $90 million with Gordian

The City of Atlanta's Department of Enterprise Asset Management faced the challenge of managing and optimizing a large portfolio of 51 public facilities, including fire stations, police precincts, and city hall. Their goal was to provide efficient, sustainable and world-class facilities for constituents, but they required a better way to handle routine maintenance, repairs and upgrades. To meet this challenge, they turned to Gordian for solutions.

Gordian implemented its Job Order Contracting (JOC) solution, which accelerated project delivery through a streamlined procurement process. This allowed the city to complete over 50 projects totaling $90 million over four years. Gordian also conducted comprehensive facility condition assessments, which provided the data needed to secure $6.6 million in federal grant funding. The partnership with Gordian enabled the City of Atlanta to make sound facility investments and effectively manage the entire building lifecycle.
